The Role:

They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN TA to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 1 child with ADHD. As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in helping the child to overcome barriers to learning and fully engage with the curriculum. Your support and encouragement will be instrumental in building the child’s confidence and fostering a love for learning.

 

Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the class teacher and the SENCo to create personalized learning plans for the child with ADHD.
    • Provide one-to-one support during lessons, ensuring the child remains focused and engaged.
    • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
    • Collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team to track progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
    • Assist with any personal care or additional requirements the child may have.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ADHD or other special educational needs is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding to build a strong rapport with the child.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards overcoming learning barriers.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is advantageous but not essential.
