The Opportunity: Year 2 Teaching Assistant
- A wonderful primary school based near the vibrant Shoreditch area of Hackney, East London
- Full-time role (Monday to Friday), term time only until July 2024.
- Work with an experienced and respected teacher who will mentor you.
- Support the whole class, small groups and on a 121 basis.
- Perfect for aspiring teachers and psychologists alike – develop your practical understanding of how children learn.
- Support their Year 2 class that come from a diverse range of backgrounds including those with SEN/EAL/SEMH and behaviour.
- Northern, London Overground and Great Eastern lines within walking distance.
The successful Year 2 Teaching Assistant must:
- Be confident and adaptable with lots of enthusiasm to match the children you support.
- Be confident in core areas of the curriculum such as Literacy and Numeracy.
- Be a degree holder.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a large team.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Be able to inspire and motivate children in the classroom
- Be able to deliver well-structured lessons for small groups/1:1 sessions
