The School:

We are currently recruiting for our excellent partner school who are looking for a qualified and experienced Maths Teacher to join them from September 2024. They are based in Westminster, Central London, with easy access from West, North and South London boroughs. An outstanding school for 100 years, a majority of students stay on in the Sixth Form that has high academic standards. This enables students to choose undergraduate courses at universities of their choice, including Oxbridge, Imperial and UCL as well as art and music colleges.

£36,745 – £56,959 per annum – Inner London MPS/UPS pay scale.


As a Maths Teacher (KS3, KS4);

  • You will be responsible for preparing curriculum, teaching, marking and assessment of Secondary Maths to KS3/KS4 students.
  • You must possess a strong foundation in both subjects and demonstrate proficiency in teaching methods.
  • Have a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and geometry, is essential.
  • Hold effective communication skills are necessary to explain complex ideas clearly and engage students in the learning process.

Overall, a competent maths and economics teacher combines subject expertise, effective communication, and a passion for education to create an engaging and enriching learning environment.

Both newly qualified, Early Career Teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers are welcome and encouraged to apply. Essential requirements include QTS, outstanding references and UK class teaching experience across the Secondary Maths curriculum.


Qualifications required:

  • Teaching Qualifications and QTS
  • A degree in Maths, Economics or related subjects, with PGCE
  • Experience in creating and implementing curriculum development for primary students
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in working with diverse populations is a plus
  • Interest in and knowledge of current educational practices and trends
