One of our clients, an impressive primary school in the South London borough of Lambeth, require a Learning Support Assistant to start immediately.
If you are a recent Graduate with a Psychology Degree, or similar, and have a genuine interest in working with young children and would like to explore a Learning Support Assistant role for the rest of the academic year, then we have roles for you!
The School

The school is just a 10-minute walk from the nearest tube station, which is easily accessible by the Victoria line. This Learning Support Assistant position is perfect for you to take your first steps towards a career in education. You will be joining a small team of likeminded graduates who are either aspiring teachers or psychologists, supporting students with SEN, SEMH, EAL and behavioural issues. This is a great opportunity to gain fantastic experience that will look glowing on any teacher training/MSc or Doctorate application.
The Role
You will work 1:1 with a student with ASD or other needs, under the guidance of the teacher, the SENCO, and other specialists (Ed Psych, SALT’s etc.). You will be assisting the teacher in the classroom to ensure that the pupil can participate in the activities with other children. You will be required to establish a positive relationship with the pupil and promote positive behaviour.
