WFW is working in close partnership with an award-winning Multi-Academy Trust, with 3 sites in South London which is seeking 2 permanent Qualified Teachers to join them from September ‘23. This provision caters for all ages of students with an EHCP and very complex needs. The school fosters a person-centred, trauma-informed, holistic approach and provides vulnerable young people with a safe and positive environment to learn. All staff are highly skilled and passionate about helping the students they work with achieve the best possible outcomes for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PRU/SEMH Teacher or a Primary Teacher who aspires to work within a SEMH school. The school offers a competitive pay package and excellent training upon induction.
About the roles:
- Position 1: AEP Class Teacher (KS2)
- Position 2: SEMH Class Teacher (KS2)
- Contract: Permanent (full-time)
- Start: September ‘23
- Times: 8:30am – 4pm
- Salary: M1 – U3 (plus TLR option)
Candidates who match the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs will be considered if you have other relevant teaching experience)
- Strong experience working in a special school, PRU or very closely with students with SEMH and SEND
- Confident behaviour management skills and relevant positive behaviour training such as MAPA or TeamTeach
- A dedicated trauma-informed approach/practice
- An undeniable passion and commitment to your role as a Teacher and working with children with SEMH
- The ability to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of staff and manage Teaching Assistants within your class ensuring they are being utilised effectively
- Excellent organisation and planning skills – an up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum and relevant research
