About the 1to1 Learning Support Assistant Post
We are looking to appoint a strong, enthusiastic, committed and creative classroom-based Learning Support Assistant to work 1to1 with a boy in year 2. He has been observed as having acute anxiety, low self-esteem and demand avoidance and defiance.
You will work with the full support of the class teacher and the school SENCo who is an excellent SEN practitioner.

About the 1to1 Learning Support Assistant
The successful 1to1 Learning Support Assistant must be able to carry out and write up necessary observations to inform and evaluate the child’s needs. You must be an experienced classroom practitioner, proactive in dealing with students and identifying groups or individuals who may be falling behind in their learning.
The 1:1 Learning Support Assistant must have the following:
- Minimum A-C at A-Levels or equivalent is essential
- 6-months experience supporting teaching in a school environment
- Good standard of education; Maths and English GCSE grades A – C, or equivalent
- Can provide excellent classroom support in literacy, numeracy and behavioural needs
- Good organisation and inter-personal skills.
- Good knowledge of ICT
- Be committed to high achievement from students and themselves
